Join us for a 2hr community circle as we connect with the seasons of the earth and the cycles of the moon. Each Full Moon Circle will offer a theme based on the Zodiac Sign that the moon is in; supporting an opportunity to reflect on that theme in our own lives. These circles involve a gentle yoga practice, a guided meditation, journaling prompts and an optional sharing circle to close. No experience is necessary, only an open mind and heart.

Why connect with the lunar cycles? What can it bring to our lives?

The moon embodies our:
• emotions
• desires
• passive tendencies
• and our shadows (unconscious behaviours)

Before the invention of the Gregorian solar calendar, ancient civilizations used the moon’s phases to create lunar calendars. These calendars would act as land-centric timekeepers; holding sacred knowledge for ceremonial, navigational and agricultural purposes. To this day, the moon phases tell us when the ocean tides move in and out for safe passage and can help us determine when the best time is to plant, hunt and harvest. A woman’s menstrual cycle often syncs up with a particular lunar cycle, embodying a specific energy depending on which phase the moon is in when she is bleeding.

Energetically, the full moon illuminates our highest potentials. It is the peak of the Lunar Cycle and heightens our ability to be self-aware about the unconscious psyche (to reveal what is hidden.) The full moon is a time of completion after a period of darkness; the energy is ripe, mature and offers an opportunity to reflect on anything ready to be expressed or released.
