Full Moon in Leo ~ Snow Moon

February 12th, 2025

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leo: In Greek mythology, Leo was identified as the Nemean Lion, which was killed by Heracles (Hercules to the Romans) during the first of his twelve labours. The Nemean Lion would take women as hostages to its lair in a cave, luring warriors from nearby towns to save the damsel in distress, to their misfortune. Hercules used his bare hands to defeat the lion by catching it in midair and breaking its back. Hera placed the lion in the heavens as Leo to commemorate Hercules’ victory.
Leo represents Strength, Courage, Sovereignty and Bravery.
Leo asks us to step into our souls’ fullest expression. It is not about becoming someone else or preforming for others; instead, Leo calls us forward to honour the gifts that are already there within us.
Leo is fierce, it is regal.
This full moon in Leo is illuminating personal power and self-expression. In order to do this, we must release self-doubt and celebrate our own individuality. Considering Valentines Day on February 14th – How do we call in self-love and validate ourselves internally instead of giving our power away to what is external? How do we celebrate all aspects of ourselves and come into greater integrity with our Truth?
Leos energy is about letting our own light shine from the inside out.
Why connect with the lunar cycles? What can it bring to our lives?
This is part of the process of re-wilding ~ connecting back to natures rhythms in our everyday lives.
The moon embodies our:
  • emotions
  • desires
  • passive tendencies
  • and our shadows (unconscious)
The full moon illuminates our highest potentials. It is the peak of the Lunar Cycle and heightens our ability to be self-aware of the unconscious psyche (to reveal what was hidden.) The full moon is a time of completion after a period of darkness, the energy is ripe, mature and ready to be expressed or released.
Marianne Williamson in – A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate
Our deepest fear is that we are
powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness,
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel
insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we consciously give other people permission
to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
