This post comes to you a fair few days past the full moon as I was invited to present at a beautiful festival in Fort St. John called Rekindling the Village. My apologies for the tardiness! May these words and journaling prompts support you in the ways they need to at this time.

Capricorn:
Capricorn is the tenth astrological sign of the zodiacs. It is an earth sign, represented by the constellation Capricornus, a ram/sea-goat which has the head of a goat and the tail of a fish. This symbolizes ones ability to navigate both the material world (goat) and the emotional realm (fish).
In Greek mythology, the constellation Capricornus is linked to two primary myths: the story of Amalthea, the goat who nursed Zeus, and the tale of Pan, the satyr who transformed himself into a sea-goat to escape the monster Typhon. Sometimes, the sea-goat is also identified with Aegipan, a goat-footed god associated with the wilderness.
The energetics of Capricorn are hardworking, ambitious, practical and disciplined. It is a sign of perseverance and determination often associated with initiators and leaders. This full moon speaks to the strength of bouncing back from setbacks and digging in deeper through life’s challenges. When the moon is in Capricorn, it is a great time to harness our motivational energy and start new projects, build foundations for our dreams, or structure around the supports that can help us fulfill these dreams. This time asks us to consider our intentions and look towards discipline and commitment to find success.
During this full moon, ask yourself what success means to you and tune in to embody your intentions within your heart instead of using your mind. This will help you connect to the feeling of your future selves in this present moment.
Consider what truly grounds you in your purpose and consider what is needed to follow through with your commitments.
The root word of discipline is disciple. What or who are you a disciple of? Where are you putting your devotion, energy and time? How could you cultivate more presence in the practices that nourish you and set you up for a successful life?
Being an earth sign, Capricorn invites you to consider what a meaningful life means to you and what activities align with your souls mission. What makes you feel purposeful at the deepest level? When you are able to focus your attention on that which serves your purpose, your energy will pour into those things and the return will be much greater (for you and the world.)
Consider a meditation (such as those from Joe Dispensa) which cultivate deep focus and energetic alignment. Within this busy world, it is becoming increasingly important to cultivated practices that help us focus on what is truly nourishing for us. This full moon can help you reclaim your attention, your energy and your power by helping you decide what deserves your attention.
From Rising Woman: “The Sacred Climb: Soul Maturity, Devotion and the Courage to Stand Tall.”
“Earned wisdom that comes from enduring and strengthening through any pain we meet.”
This is a learned skill which takes a great deal of commitment. It harbours resilience and helps us move through the big important moments that shape us into the individual souls that we are meant to become. Remember to lean in, and trust the process. The only way out is through!

Buck Moon:
This moon is also called the buck moon in our region because it aligned with the time of year where the antlers of the male deer (bucks) are quickly growing.

If I could form three habits that are aligned with my highest self, what would they be?
