Scorpio:

Scorpio is a water sign, making it a highly emotional and intuitive sign. It is associated with mystery, intensity, transformation, power, sexuality, death and rebirth. This full moon asks us to embrace our personal power and strength while confronting our deepest emotional shadows and triggers.

Seeing your shadows takes courage and recognizing the patterns which no longer serve your highest good is the first step toward positive growth and evolution. The key to shadow work is accepting where you are right now with compassion while knowing that you have the power to shift.

This full moon highlights the importance of intimacy and authenticity in our relationships. It shines a light on anything that has become stuck, stagnant or draining, giving us a glimpse into what is holding us back from opening up to our fullest potentials.

Nothing within us is fixed or permanent as every pattern, belief and shadow holds the potential for change. This full moon in Scorpio asks us to liberate ourselves from patterns, attachments, internal self-talk and paradigms that have been keeping us stuck, stagnant and small.

Themes:

Shadow-work

  • Unconscious to conscious, unraveling, uncovering, the iceberg, Carl Jung

PROMPTS

Are there any hidden truths or secrets that may have come to light recently? How can I navigate these with courage and integrity, both within myself and with my interactions with others?

What shadow aspects of myself am I ready to confront and integrate? How can I embrace these aspects of myself with love and acceptance?

Has there been a goal or relationship that I have self-sabotaged? How did I do it, and why do I think I did?

What are some traits I often view negatively (in myself or others)? How can I see these as strengths?

Transmutation “the only way out is through”

There’s a reminder during this full moon that it is important to embrace the “darker”, “less pleasant” parts of the self. For me, much of this full moon has been supported by the book The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller which I have been book clubbing for the last several months.

  • change, alchemy, shadow to light, transformation, mind-set shifts, confronting, butterfly, pilgrimage

PROMPTS

What emotions or experiences am I hesitant to confront, and how might facing them lead to personal growth and healing?

What situations or triggers tend to bring up strong emotions for me? Explore any patterns you notice.

Are there any emotions that I try to suppress or ignore? Why do I do this, and what impact does it have on me? How can I give myself permission to express and honor these feelings in a healthy way?

Empowerment

  • Self-actualization, personal power, control, claiming, strength, confidence

PROMPTS

How am I using my power to serve my highest good?

How can I reclaim my inner strength and vitality in order to pursue my goals and aspirations with confidence?

Is there anybody in my life right now that drains me of this vital energy?

Is there anyone in my life that I am currently blaming for my problems? What are the problems and how can I take accountability for writing my own narrative?

Mystery

  • The great unknown, mystics, magic, spirituality, the veil, dreamtime, Spirit, God, Universe, ancestral, synchronicity

PROMPTS

Where in my life is requiring the most faith?

If I could have one prayer answered by a higher power, what would this prayer be?

When is the last time I experienced a synchronicity? Who was involved? Are there any symbols that I remember?

Dreamtime Homework:

  • This evening, bring yourself to bed with your journal nearby. As you lay your head down on the pillow, ask for guidance in your dreamscape around whatever is pressing you at this moment in time. Pray for wisdom that can help you on your path. In the morning, do you best to write your dreams in your journal as soon as you wake up. If you forget, try again the next day. The more you practice, the easier it will get.
